- Application route
- Non-EU applicants apply for German-taught and ISE bachelor's programmes via uni-assist first.
- Application periods
- General page: NC programmes winter 01.05.–15.07., summer 01.11.–15.01.; NC-free programmes winter 01.05.–15.09., summer 01.11.–15.03. Some programme pages give earlier non-EU deadlines (31.07./31.01.).
- German requirement
- German-taught programmes require DSH-2 level before you start; TestDaF (TDN 4 in all parts), TELC Deutsch C1 Hochschule and DSD II are also accepted. ISE programmes have their own rules.
- Language preparation / conditional admission
- NC-free programmes only: non-EU applicants without sufficient German can enrol as German-course students. Not possible for NC programmes. UDE runs no preparatory courses itself; you apply to the programme again afterwards.
- Applying from Türkiye
- UDE has no Studienkolleg. uni-assist asks Turkish Lise graduates for the Lise diploma and the ÖSYM placement result. According to the German Embassy's note, a YKS placement allows direct entry in the same or a related subject; we check this with your documents.
- Semester contribution
- Winter semester 2026/27: €367.80, including the Deutschlandsemesterticket (nationwide public transport).
