Frequently asked questions

ÖSD or TELC?

Both are accepted by many institutions. We check together which certificate the institution you are applying to requires.

Have TELC certificates been cancelled?

No. There is no general cancellation of TELC certificates, and this includes TELC exams taken in Germany. The German Federal Foreign Office lists TELC among the accepted providers of language certificates, and TELC Deutsch C1 Hochschule is recognised as language proof for university admission. The known restriction is narrower: for spouse reunification visas, the German missions in Türkiye accept only Goethe-Institut and ÖSD A1 certificates issued in Türkiye. Forged or improperly obtained certificates can be invalid regardless. Before you apply, we check the current requirement of the relevant authority together.
