Student guide
Walks through the student screens step by step, from creating an account to lesson recordings.
Create, verify and sign in
- On “Create an account”, enter your name and choose “Student” as the account type.
- Enter your e-mail and a password: at least 8 characters with at least one capital letter (A–Z) and one punctuation or special character (e.g. ! ? . - _ @ #). Only English letters, digits and symbols are allowed; spaces and accented or Turkish letters are not accepted. Then choose “Create my account”.
- Open the link in the verification e-mail in the browser where you registered. Check your spam folder if needed.
- Sign in on “Sign in” with your e-mail and password.
Opening an account alone does not enrol you with the institution. Until your membership is set up you will see “Waiting for institution access”.
Forgot password
- On the “Sign in” page, choose the “Forgot password” link under the password field.
- Enter your account e-mail address and choose “Send reset link”. For security, the page does not say whether an account uses that address.
- Open the link in the e-mail in the browser where you requested it. Check your spam folder if nothing arrives.
- Enter your new password twice and choose “Save my password”. The rule is the same as for registration: at least 8 characters, at least one capital letter (A–Z) and one punctuation mark or symbol; no spaces or Turkish letters.
- Then sign in on the “Sign in” page with your new password.
The link is valid briefly and only once. Resetting your password does not change your account type or your access to the institution.
My profile
- Open “My profile” from the account menu.
- Update your name and choose “Save my profile”.
Do not put passport, health or visa details in your profile.
Tracking my applications
- Your files are under “My applications” on “My account”.
- Each file has a status badge and a sentence below it saying what happens next.
- If you see “Waiting for student information”, contact your advisor.
- Processes such as university admission and visa appear as separate cards inside the file.
These statuses track the internal process; they are not an official admission or visa decision.
Joining a live lesson
- Open “Lessons and recordings”. Times are in Turkey time.
- On a scheduled lesson, choose “Open Meet link”; Google Meet opens in a new tab.
- Your attendance is confirmed by the institution after the lesson and appears on the card.
Opening the Meet link does not record attendance.
Lesson recordings
- If a completed lesson has a recording, “Open lesson recording” appears.
- The recording opens in Classroom or Drive.
Only the opening of the link is recorded; it does not mean you watched the video.
Homework and lesson materials
- Open “My homework” in the menu. Homework your teacher published to you appears with its due time in the lesson's own time zone.
- Read the instructions with “Open homework”. Write your answer as text, add an https link or both, then choose “Hand in”.
- Every hand-in stays under “My attempts” as a separate attempt; one sent after the due time is marked “Handed in late”. Teacher feedback appears under that attempt.
- “Lesson materials” lists the links of the lessons you are enrolled in and can be filtered by level.
There is no file upload yet. Opening a material link is not recorded as read or watched.
CV and motivation letter templates
- Open “Guides” in the menu; the “Application document templates” section has the German CV and motivation letter templates.
- “Preview” shows the template on screen; “Download editable (.docx)” downloads the Word file. It opens in Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs.
- Replace the yellow square brackets with your own correct details; delete the grey note and any sections you do not need.
The templates are blank: do not add a degree, level, experience or achievement you do not have. Downloading a template does not count as handing in a document.
My documents
- Open “My documents” in the menu; the documents the institute asked you for are listed with their status.
- When uploading is open, the page shows the accepted file types and the largest file size. Choose the file on the document card and press “Upload file”; the upload is done only when “File uploaded” appears.
- If you see “Correction requested”, read the note and send the document again with “Upload a new version”. Earlier versions are kept.
- If you do not have a document yet, leave a short note under “I do not have this document yet”. On the passport card choose the type, or “Not yet” if you have no passport.
Uploading stays closed until the institute sets the file types and size limit; until then “Uploading is not open yet” is shown. An accepted document is not a university admission or a visa decision.
Student Q&A
- If you are an institution member, “Student Q&A” appears in the menu.
- Under “Ask a question”, enter a title and your question and choose “Post question”; reply to others with “Reply”.
Do not share passport, health or visa documents or contact details. This area is closed to parents and outsiders.
Not connected yet
These are never shown as if they worked; this guide will be updated when the institution provides them.
- Document upload stays closed until the institute sets the file types and a size limit; a retention period has not been set yet.
- File upload is not connected for homework and materials; answers are sent as text or an https link.
- Automatic Meet attendance is not connected; the institution confirms attendance manually.
- E-mail notifications (lessons, application status) are not sent yet.
